Tourist bus involved in accident in Ussuriysk, casualties reported

A tourist bus carrying 43 Chinese tourists was involved in a traffic accident in Ussuriysk. Two of them died, and the number of injured is being determined. "Today, a bus overturned at the entrance to Ussuriysk. 43 Chinese tourists were on board. As a result of the accident, two people died, one was taken to the city hospital with a traumatic brain injury, and several others sustained moderate and minor injuries. All occupants have been evacuated from the scene," said Ekaterina Veka, according to RIA Novosti.

She also added that, according to preliminary information, the bus was involved in the accident due to the driver's sudden deterioration in health. An investigation is currently underway, and regional authorities are doing everything they can to assist the injured tourists.

"The heads of the regional departments of health, international cooperation, and tourism have arrived at the scene. A representative of the travel agency is on site, and the insurance company has been engaged. Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Nikolaevich Kozhemyako expressed his condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the car accident, as well as to the Chinese Consul General in Vladivostok, Yan Wenbing. He noted that assistance will be organized to quickly return the bodies of the victims to their homeland," added Ekaterina Veka.
