The British will conduct their own investigation into the deaths of tourists

British experts intend to conduct their own investigation into the strange death of two tourists in a hotel Steigenberger Aqua Magic in Hurghada, but warns that the process could take a long time months, transmits travelweekly.

“Given the excitement generated by this case, The analysis and evaluation of the autopsy results may take several weeks or even months. These results will need to be compared with the results of the Egyptian investigation,” Dr James Adeley, senior coroner for Lancashire, told reporters.

In turn, A spokeswoman for the Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hotel said: "The prosecutor's report states that E.coli bacteria caused the tragic deaths of the couple. But we will continue to work closely with the Egyptian authorities and experts to establish how this could have happened, given that there are a number of independent reports that have raised questions about where and how E.coli could have been contracted. We feel very sorry for the Cooper family and will do everything we can to facilitate further investigations into this matter."

Recall that 69-year-old Mr. John Cooper died in a hotel room on August 21. His wife, 63-year-old Susan Cooper, died six hours later in the hospital. Initially, doctors recorded cardiac and respiratory failure as the cause of death for both tourists.

Following the incident, tour operator Thomas Cook offered 300 of its clients staying at the Steigenberger Aqua Magic hotel to move to other hotels or end their vacation.
