Tour operators are working on launching charter trains to Crimea after the railway section of the bridge across the Kerch Strait is put into operation, said Alexey Chernyak, head of the Crimean parliament's committee on health resorts and tourism, according to RIA Novosti. News.

"Major Russian tour operators, together with Russian Railways and economists, are already evaluating various options, such as charter trains. Our country is vast, with vast open spaces, so the train doesn't stop," Chernyak told reporters.
The bridge from Krasnodar Krai to Crimea is the longest in Russia, spanning 19 kilometers. Vehicle traffic was originally scheduled to begin in December 2018, but construction was completed ahead of schedule. Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the automobile portion of the bridge across the Kerch Strait on May 15, and road traffic resumed on May 16. Train traffic on the railway portion of the bridge is scheduled to open in December 2019.
