On April 14, a tour bus carrying children overturned near Tula. There were approximately 40 children, two drivers, and five chaperones on board, one of whom was injured. This was reported by Andrei Yartsev, head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.
"According to preliminary data, at around 9:35 p.m., at the 131st kilometer of the Kaluga-Tula-Mikhailov-Ryazan highway, near the village of Volyntsevo, a Mercedes bus with Oryol Oblast license plates skidded into a ditch and then flipped onto its side," he said, according to Interfax.
According to available reports, none of the children on the tour bus were injured. The injured companion received medical attention.
According to regional transport authorities, preliminary reports indicate the bus was involved in the accident due to snowfall, and the driver may have lost control on the slippery and wet road.
