Russian accommodation booking service Tvil.ru conducted a survey of internet users to find out where they celebrated the New Year 2019.
According to the service's official website, the most popular answers among Russians were either "At home" or "With friends."
According to the survey data, 86% Russians celebrated the New Year at home with family and friends, while only 8% celebrated the year with friends.
Moreover, many Russians celebrated the New Year not only at home but also while traveling. For example, 31% of respondents celebrated the New Year while traveling abroad, 21% while traveling through various cities and regions of Russia, and only 11% of respondents celebrated the New Year on a plane or train.
