Experts from the travel service Tutu.ru analyzed airfare bookings for the May holidays and identified the most expensive bookings. The selection primarily included bookings where travelers selected business class and round-trip flights.
The couple's most expensive ticket was from Moscow to Cancun. Round-trip travel cost them 635,000 rubles.
The second most expensive route was Moscow-Gorno-Altaysk. Altai lovers paid 604,000 rubles for three tickets. Third place went to a trip from Moscow to Koh Samui, with four round-trip tickets costing 485,000 rubles.
The most expensive ticket for the May holidays from Novosibirsk was to Dubai, costing a tourist 180,000 rubles. A retired couple flew from Sochi to Bucharest for almost 158,000 rubles (one-way).
Solo travelers also made the list of the most expensive flights. A traveler from Moscow paid 77,000 rubles for a roundtrip ticket to Tokyo. Another Muscovite flew to Guangzhou (a roundtrip ticket cost 70,000 rubles).
