Rostourism removed 42 companies from the unified federal register of tour operators in a week, according to orders posted on the agency's website, Interfax reports.
There are no large companies among the excluded tour operators, these are mainly representatives of the regional The tourism industry. Only one company, Vertas Tour, was excluded due to its own request to cease its tour operator activities.
According to Rostourism, 25 companies were removed from the register due to the revocation of the insurance license of Central Insurance Company LLC, with which they had liability insurance contracts. These companies failed to provide the regulator with documents confirming the existence of financial security for their tour operator liability, which they were required by law to do within 45 days of the license revocation.
In total, 4,344 tour operators were included in the register as of the end of July.
