Greek Consulate Issued 600,000 Visas to Russian Tourists in 2018

Last year, Russian tourists obtained 600,000 visas to Greece. This figure decreased by almost 11,000 compared to 2017, according to Consul General of Greece Eleni Vakali.

“We explain this by the fact that the consulate is trying to issue "Multiple-entry long-term visas. This is how we ensure the stability of the Russian client market for Greece," she noted, adding that, at the end of 2018, the number of Greek visa refusals was 0.7%.

As a reminder, tour operators previously told TRN that sales of early booking packages to Greece, which began last year, have grown by up to 25%.
