On April 7, the world's largest cruise liner, Symphony of the Seas, owned by Royal Caribbean, will set sail from the port of Barcelona on its maiden voyage. The displacement of this snow-white giant is more than 230 thousand tons, the length of its deck is 362 meters, and its maximum speed is 22 knots (about 40 km/h).
As reported by Spain in Russian, the liner has 19 swimming pools, ten jacuzzis, 24 elevators and 2,775 cabins. Symphony of the Seas can accommodate 6,680 passengers and 2,200 crew members at a time. Tourists can enjoy a fitness center, a spa complex, a casino and a park with 12,000 tropical plants.
Throughout the summer season, until October, the new liner will make seven-day cruises, calling at the ports of Palma de Mallorca, cities in French Provence, Florence, Pisa, Rome and Naples. In October, Symphony of the Seas will head to Miami, where it will also make week-long cruises in the Caribbean.
