Russian Railways has reduced ticket prices by two to three times on the new Lastochka express commuter train between Veliky Novgorod and Petrozavodsk. Tickets for the entire route now cost 464 rubles for all carriages, down from the previous 1,354 or 867 rubles.
The train runs daily. Departure from Novgorod at 5:45 PM, arriving in Petrozavodsk at 12:10 AM. Return departure at 2:32 PM, arriving in Novgorod at 9:02 PM. Stops are scheduled at Chudovo, Volkhovstroy-2, Lodeynoye Pole, and Svir stations. For unknown reasons, there is no stop near the Kirishi junction station. The route is served by a five-car Lastochka train.
