A new art object has appeared at the Krasnaya Polyana resort.

Large-scale public art object of the famous calligraphuturist artist appeared on a square in the mountains—at an altitude of 960 m in the Krasnaya Polyana resort. The painting is a calligraphic message to the world: the text is dedicated to the unification of contemporary culture, art, nature and sports.

The main square at Polyana 960, a focal point for people from around the world who come to enjoy their mountain getaway, became the focus of a joint project between Pokras Lampas and the Krasnaya Polyana Resort. The mural covers 960 square meters and, following the square's architecture, is arranged in a circular composition of several circles with text in Russian and English. The unified translation contains the main phrase: "We are creating a new visual culture." The rest of the text is open to interpretation, revealing references to global cultures and scripts in the intertwined letterforms. This encrypted message to the outside world from one of the most prominent figures of contemporary art aligns with the new development concept of the Krasnaya Polyana Resort and supports the brand's commitment to modern communication with its guests.

Earlier, in September 2019, at the GQ Man of the Year Awards in Moscow, Krasnaya Polyana Resort CEO Andrey Krukovsky and the resort's Director of Strategic Development Olga Filipenkova presented Pokras Lampas with a special "Special Handwriting" award, recognizing the renowned calligrapher's cultural achievements. They also announced their intention to create a joint project with the artist in the mountains. That evening, Pokras Lampas also received an award in the "Discovery of the Year" category.

Pokras Lampas is a Russian artist who became famous in 2015 for creating the world's largest calligraphy mural on the roof of the former Krasny Oktyabr factory in Moscow. The 1,625-square-meter work became the only one in Russia visible from space at the time. Pokras's other famous works include murals for the square in front of the Russian Railways Arena stadium in Moscow and the roof of the "Square Colosseum" at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome.
