Russian accommodation booking service Tvil.ru Identified the most popular tourist resorts on Russian lakes for vacations during the high summer season.
The rating is based on an analysis of tourist bookings for accommodation in the private sector for stays from July 1 to August 31. 2018.
Resort towns and villages in Orenburg, Bashkiria, Lake Seliger, Altai, and Lake Baikal are leading summer lakeside holiday destinations during the peak season.
The top five Russian lake resorts popular for vacations during the high summer season include Sol-Iletsk in the Orenburg region, Yakty-Kul (Bannoe) in Bashkortostan, Ostashkov on Lake Seliger in the Tver region, Yarovoye in the Altai region, and Listvyanka on Lake Baikal.
According to Tvil.ru, tourists book vacations in Sol-Iletsk during the high summer season for an average of six nights and spend 2,000 rubles per night on accommodation per family.
