The booking service Tvil.ru conducted a survey to identify popular small Russian cities for weekend trips in early November 2019.
The top five most popular small towns included Ostashkov and Kalyazin in the Tver region (2,500 rubles / 2 nights), Suzdal in the Vladimir region (4418 rubles / 2.2 nights), Olonets in the Republic of Karelia (4433 rubles / 2.3 nights), Pereslavl-Zalessky in the Yaroslavl region (5166.5 rubles / 2 nights).
According to the service, tourists book weekend trips to small towns across the country in early November, for an average of a couple of days, and spend between 2,500 and 5,000 rubles per night on accommodation.
The cheapest place to spend a weekend in early November is Kalyazin, while Pereslavl-Zalessky is more expensive.
