The top 5 most popular lakes for tourists to visit on Russia Day include: Lake Seliger in Ostashkov, Tverskaya region, Lake Bannoe in Bashkiria, Lake Baikal in Baikalsk in the Irkutsk region, Lake Yarovoe in the Altai Territory and Lake Onega in Medvezhyegorsk in the Republic of Karelia.
According to the service, on average, tourists book lakeside vacations for 2.5 to 10 days and spend between 1,300 and 6,600 rubles on accommodation.
The cheapest option for tourists is to stay at Lake Bannoe in Bashkiria (4,700 rubles/2.5 nights), while the most expensive option is Lake Onega in Medvezhyegorsk in the Republic of Karelia (6,600 rubles/5 nights).
