Nordwind Airlines will fly more frequently from Moscow to Saratov.

Nordwind Airlines plans to increase the number of flights from Moscow to Saratov at the end of October. Starting October 29, it plans to operate 11 flights per week on this route, up from 7, according to Travel.ru.

Starting October 29, morning flights will be added four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Departure from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) is at 7:00 AM, arriving in Saratov at 9:40 AM. Return departure is at 10:30 AM, arriving in Moscow at 11:10 AM.

The daily flight, which opened on August 28, will depart Moscow at 18:10 and arrive in Saratov at 20:55 starting October 28. The return flight departs at 21:45, arriving in Moscow at 22:30. Until October 27, the schedule will be staggered: departures from Moscow on various days at 8:05, 14:30, 14:35, 15:00, 17:20, and 18:00, and from Saratov at 18:20, 18:25, 20:50, and 21:30.

Ticket prices start at 4,650 rubles, including a 20-kilogram baggage allowance, seat selection, online check-in, and the option to exchange the ticket. An option with only a 5-kilogram carry-on (plus a briefcase or handbag) and without all the above-mentioned features costs 4,160 rubles. For many autumn dates, tickets are available for 1,000 rubles less for both options.

The route will be operated by an Embraer 190 aircraft operated by Ikar Airlines (PegasFly). Tickets will be sold by partner airline Nordwind Airlines and its agents.

Please note that there are no free meals on flights, and paid meals must be ordered in advance. Online check-in is available either by purchasing a seat selection (starting at 300 rubles) on a baggage-free fare or by purchasing a baggage-only fare. Lines for free regular check-in at Sheremetyevo can be very long. The free carry-on baggage allowance is only 5 kilograms (plus a briefcase, backpack, or handbag), and the cost of carrying additional carry-on baggage ranges from 1,000 to 1,500 rubles.

Let us recall that soon passengers of all Russian airlines may lose the guarantees of free transportation of briefcases, handbags, backpacks, outerwear, as well as baby food, medicine, canes, crutches and other items necessary for medical reasons. This is the draft order of the Ministry of Transport, prepared after the appeal to the ministry by the airline Pobeda, which demanded that passengers be deprived of all these guarantees. If the draft is approved, carriers will be able to limit passengers to only 5 kilograms of hand luggage, and the permissible dimensions of such luggage will be determined by the airlines themselves (Pobeda itself already uses a tiny “calibrator” measuring 36x30x27 centimeters for this, in which it is impossible to place many ordinary small city bags, as well as some mobile electronics - for example, some laptops).
