Nordwind Airlines will fly from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Saratov.

Nordwind Airlines and PegasFly expect to begin flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Saratov in late summer. The routes could open on August 28, according to Travel.ru.

Flights from Moscow are scheduled daily on a sporadic schedule. Departures from Moscow (Sheremetyevo Airport) on various days at 8:05, 14:30, 14:35, 15:00, 17:20, 18:00, from Saratov - at 18:20, 18:25, 20:50, 21:30. From October 28, the schedule will become stable - departure from Moscow at 18:10, arrival in Saratov at 20:55. Return departure at 21:45, arrival in Moscow at 22:30.

Ticket prices start at 4,650 rubles, including a 20-kilogram baggage allowance, seat selection, online check-in, and the option to exchange the ticket. An option with only a 5-kilogram carry-on (plus a briefcase or handbag) and without all the above-mentioned features costs 4,160 rubles. For select autumn dates, tickets are available for 1,000 rubles less for both options.

Tickets for the Saratov-St. Petersburg route are not yet available, but the proposed schedule includes departures from Saratov on Tuesdays and Sundays at 11:40, arrival in St. Petersburg at 1:00 PM, return departure at 1:50 PM, and arrival in Saratov at 5:15 PM. These flights are currently scheduled only from August 28 to October 21; there is no winter schedule.

The routes will use an Embraer 190 aircraft from Ikar Airlines (PegasFly). Tickets will be sold by partner airline Nordwind Airlines and its agents.

Let us recall that soon passengers of all Russian airlines may lose the guarantees of free transportation of briefcases, handbags, backpacks, outerwear, as well as baby food, medicine, canes, crutches and other items necessary for medical reasons. This is the draft order of the Ministry of Transport, prepared after the appeal to the ministry by the airline Pobeda, which demanded that passengers be deprived of all these guarantees. If the draft is approved, carriers will be able to limit passengers to only 5 kilograms of hand luggage, and the permissible dimensions of such luggage will be determined by the airlines themselves (Pobeda itself already uses a tiny “calibrator” measuring 36x30x27 centimeters for this, in which it is impossible to place many ordinary small city bags, as well as some mobile electronics - for example, some laptops).
