Nordwind Airlines plans to launch flights from Nizhnekamsk to Istanbul this fall. Flights will operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting October 27, according to Travel.ru.
Departure from Nizhnekamsk at 10:20, arrival in Istanbul (new airport) at 14:30. The return flight departs at 4:00 PM and arrives in Nizhnekamsk at 7:50 PM. The route will be operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a single-class configuration and 189 seats.
The minimum baggage-free fare, which includes only 5 kilograms of carry-on baggage (plus a briefcase, handbag, or backpack), is currently 9,194 rubles one-way and 17,427 rubles round-trip. Baggage-free fares (15 kilograms) cost 10,684 rubles and 19,912 rubles, respectively.
When purchasing a ticket on the airline's website, paid meals (497 rubles one-way) and paid insurance (349 rubles) are also included by default. This practice of selling services not requested by the customer, while prohibited in the European Union and several other countries, remains widespread in Russia. To opt out of these unnecessary services, you must remove them before paying on the additional services selection page. This is not easy to do, as additional forms pop up during the process, making it difficult to close them to continue booking. To close these pop-up forms, look for the inconspicuous cross or semicircle in the upper right corner of the form.
This route was served for several years by the Turkish carrier AtlasGlobal. However, last year, the carrier abandoned this route, as it did with many of its other routes.
