Hotel fire in Thailand: More than 400 tourists evacuated

More than 400 tourists were evacuated following a fire at the Holiday Inn in Pattaya, Thailand, according to local media reports.

 

 

According to The Nation, the fire broke out on the morning of December 6. Among the evacuated tourists were foreigners, including children. According to eyewitnesses, the fire started in one of the hotel rooms, after which, due to strong winds, the flames spread to neighboring rooms.

For its part, the Russian Embassy in Thailand stated that it had not received any information about any injured Russian tourists. "We are investigating media reports of a fire at a hotel in Pattaya. No Russian citizens have yet sought assistance in connection with the incident," they stated.
