Rostourism has clarified the procedure for tourists and travel agencies in the situation with RossTour.

Rostourism has advised travel agencies and tourists on how to respond to the situation with RossTour. The corresponding announcement was published on the agency's website.

“The RossTour company is required to make payment of the funds received from the tourist and (or) another customer, a tour operator specified in the contract concluded with the tourist for the sale of a tourist product,” the Rostourism statement reads.

It also emphasizes that in cases where RossTour acts as a tour operator under contracts for the sale of tourism products, it is obligated to provide tourists with the services they have paid for in full. RossTour is also required to promptly inform tourists, tour operators, and subagents of the measures taken in their interests.

"Tour operators Pegas, Coral, and Sanmar must take comprehensive measures to ensure tourists receive services included in the tourist product for fully paid tours. Furthermore, they should allow RossTour subagents to pay or make additional payments for previously booked tours directly to the tour operator and provide tourists with all services included in the tourist product upon receipt of payment for booking requests," Rostourism emphasized.

The said tour operators are also required to provide RossTour's subagents with full information on their next steps in the current situation.

In turn, subagents of the RossTour company, according to the department's statement, should keep in mind that tourists who have paid them, as travel agents, under a contract for the sale of a tourist product for the full cost of the tourist product have the unconditional right to receive all the services included in it.

"If it is discovered that the tour operator specified in the contract concluded with the tourist for the sale of the tourist product has not received the full cost of the tourist product paid by the tourist, take all necessary measures to prevent the violation of tourists' rights to receive the services they paid for in full, followed by the recovery of additional expenses incurred from RossTour through a claim procedure in the interests of the tourists," the department's statement noted.
