Skyscanner has named the top most beautiful places in Russia.

As Skyscanner reported to TRN: "Travelers named Kamchatka, Baikal, and Elbrus as Russia's most captivating wonders."

For extraordinary experiences, you don’t have to fly to the other end of the world – Russia has its own seven natural and man-made Wonders. Skyscanner, a website for searching flights, hotels, and car rentals, surveyed travelers to find out which destinations are the most attractive. The top three were Kamchatka, Lake Baikal, and Mount Elbrus.

The Valley of Geysers in Kamchatka topped the list of most desired attractions to visit. 34% respondents wanted to admire the breathtaking views of the bubbling thermal springs in the world's largest geyser field. To get there, you'll first need to travel to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Second on the list of Russians' favorite destinations is Lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world and captivatingly beautiful. It received 331,333 votes from travelers. Baikal can be reached from the airports of Irkutsk or Ulan-Ude.

Elbrus in the North Caucasus rounds out the top three. 13% would like to climb the highest peak in Russia and Europe or simply see the world-famous mountain in person. The closest airports to the Elbrus region are Nalchik and Mineralnye Vody.

The remaining wonders are ranked in descending order of their popularity among users: Weathering Pillars in Komi (7%), the Peterhof Palace and Park Complex (5%), the Mamayev Kurgan historical monument in Volgograd (4%), and St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow (1%).

The travelers also named their own picks for the most impressive places in Russia. Among them are Karelia, the ancient fortress of Staraya Ladoga, the Lena Pillars Nature Park in Yakutia, and Lakes Pink and Saki in Crimea.

"Our country is renowned for its many extraordinary destinations, which have long been magnets for travelers not only from Russia but also from abroad. You can set off in search of exciting experiences to virtually any part of the country, and today, doing so is much easier. The introduction of ultra-low-cost fares from traditional carriers, as well as the expansion of low-cost airlines' route networks, allows Russians to travel within the country while saving on tickets. To find the best deal on flights to any of these wonders, keep an eye on prices with the highest discounts; many can reach as low as 80%," commented Dmitry Khavansky, Skyscanner's Development Manager for Russia.
