A snow hotel will open in the mountains of Sochi.

On December 28, the Igloo Hotel will open in Sochi's mountain cluster—several Eskimo-style houses built from the pure snow of the Caucasus Mountains. The igloos will be up to six meters in diameter, and the interiors will be insulated with animal skins.

According to TASS, one of the igloos will house a bar. The hotel's rooms will be kept warm at outside temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius. The igloos will accommodate between two and eight guests.

The Igloo Hotel will be part of an ethnopark within the Gazprom resort area in Krasnaya Polyana. Park guests can enjoy snowshoe and cross-country skiing in the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve, as well as skiing and snowboarding on the pristine snow on the nearby mountain slopes. The ethnopark will also feature a chum (tent)—a dwelling of indigenous northern peoples—a children's snow town, and Father Frost's snow house.
