The old Varshavskaya movie theater building in northern Moscow will be renovated. A modern food center will be built in its place, according to reports. TRN in the Moscow Committee for Architecture.

According to Moscow's chief architect, Sergei Kuznetsov, after a major renovation "Varshavya" will become a gastronomic hub with food concepts from Moscow's best restaurateurs and gastro-enthusiasts, culinary master classes, and a farmers' market.
People will come to the Warsaw district center to meet and socialize in pleasant cafes and restaurants, spend time with the whole family at a cooking masterclass, explore the selection of gourmet kiosks, attend gastronomic events, and learn about new trends and cuisines from around the world.
"The renovated Warsaw will host themed seasonal fairs and entertainment events, as well as clubs and workshops for different age groups," noted Kuznetsov.
The main entrance will be located on Staropetrovsky Proyezd. The ground floor is planned to house a café, farm produce stores, and gourmet kiosks, while the lower ground floor will house a supermarket. The second floor will house a food hall and a space for public events. Escalators will connect the two floors.
During the renovation, the existing brick walls will be preserved, and the façade will be clad with suspended ceramic panels with integrated lighting. The total floor area of the building is over 6,000 square meters.
According to the department, ADG Group will transform 39 old movie theaters in the capital into multifunctional centers. Around 30 projects have already received approval from the Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Development.
