Tour operator TUI continues to expand its presence in Russia's regions, including the Far East: on February 6, the company opened its official representative office in Khabarovsk.

As the press service of TUI Russia told the TRN portal before The team will be tasked with providing tourists to the region with tours abroad and within the country, as well as organizing the reception of foreign and Russian tourists.
In support of its intentions, on February 6, 2019, the tour operator entered into a cooperation agreement with the Government of Khabarovsk Krai to create and promote interregional tourist routes through Khabarovsk Krai, attract additional Russian and foreign tourists to the region, and conduct informational tours for representatives of the tourism industry and the media.
An agreement on cooperation and collaboration in tourism development was ceremoniously signed in Khabarovsk by Igor Vladimirovich Averin, First Deputy Chairman of the Khabarovsk Regional Government, and Alexander Alexandrovich Sirchenko, Deputy General Director of TUI Russia.
"We at TUI have been operating in the Russian Far East for over a year and a half, and during this time, we've not only introduced the tourism professional community to the potential of Kamchatka and Sakhalin but also successfully sold tours to these destinations. Now, with particular joy, we're launching a project in Khabarovsk Krai. We plan to work with the government to set priorities and begin implementing specific tourism development goals in the near future," noted Mr. Sirchenko.
Igor Averin, in turn, emphasized that the Khabarovsk Krai government is fully committed to expanding cooperation with such a major Russian operator as TUI Russia in developing tourism. "We believe that the company's ability to promote Khabarovsk Krai as a tourist destination will ensure an increased flow of Russian and international tourists to the region. We are prepared to provide every possible support in this endeavor and hope that our cooperation will yield positive economic benefits for both parties," he said.
TUI's Khabarovsk office plans for 2019 include promoting its image and increasing brand awareness in the Far East, developing domestic and inbound tourism, and preparing for the 2019/2020 flight schedule.
The company's office will provide consulting services to travel agencies in the region for the sale of package and individual tours with scheduled air travel, as well as ground handling and air tickets.
