Turkish Airlines will hand over its Ankara-Moscow route to AnadoluJet.

Turkish Airlines plans to transfer its Ankara-Moscow route to its subsidiary, AnadoluJet. AnadoluJet will begin operating the route on March 29, according to Travel.ru.

This is effectively a return to the original situation: AnadoluJet operated this route from its inception in 2010 until 2012, when its parent company took over. The transfer of the route back to AnadoluJet may be due to declining demand: instead of the once daily frequency, the route is now operated 1-3 times a week.

The same Boeing 737-800 aircraft will remain on the route, but AnadoluJet will no longer have a business class (and will therefore have more economy class seats). The flight schedule will remain unchanged: departure from Ankara on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 11:05 p.m., arriving in Moscow (Vnukovo Airport) at 2:15 a.m. Return flights depart on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 3:10 a.m., arriving in Ankara at 6:15 a.m.
