A robot will assist passengers at Munich Airport.

Munich Airport and Lufthansa have begun testing an anthropomorphic robot that can provide advice to passengers.

Passengers arriving at Terminal 2 can now ask questions of a humanoid robot named Josie Pepper, the airline's press service reports. For example, they can ask for directions to the right gate, which restaurant to eat at, or how to find a particular store. Josie Pepper, a 1.2-meter-tall robot, will quickly answer your question in English.

This is Germany's first humanoid robot with artificial intelligence, providing passenger service. Initially, the robot will be positioned near the ramp to the shuttle train that transports passengers between terminals. During this testing phase, the robot's creators want to study passenger reactions to the new employee's presence at the airport.
