The Festival of Lights has begun in Berlin

The Festival of Lights has begun in Berlin and will last until October 20. Over the course of 10 days, various light shows will be demonstrated on fifty buildings in the city, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.

Among the participating buildings are many famous Berlin landmarks, including the Brandenburg Gate, where the festival opened, the Alexanderplatz TV tower, the cathedral, several hotels, museums, theaters and foreign embassies, the Potsdamer Platz skyscrapers, the Europa Center and others. Those wishing to see many shows in one evening can buy a special bus, boat or combined tour.

The shows take place daily from approximately 6.30 pm to 9 pm. Some continue until midnight. The main theme of the festival is the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. A show dedicated to this is shown at the Brandenburg Gate. A photo report from the festival is published on the Travel.ru Facebook page.
