Bicycles will be banned in central Prague.

At the end of April, a new city law will come into effect in Prague, prohibiting bicycle riding in areas with large tourist concentrations during daylight hours. The aim of the new law is to ensure the safety of the numerous pedestrians strolling along the streets of the Czech capital's center.

According to Euro-Pulse.ru, bicycles are prohibited from 10:00 to 17:00 between Wenceslas Square and Republic Square, as well as in the Stare Mesto district.

Organizers of city bike tours and delivery services that use bicycles for work tried to oppose the law, but the Prague City Council nevertheless passed the document.
