The first ski resort opens in Chechnya

The Veduchi ski resort in the Itum-Kalinsky district of Chechnya will open in January 2018. In the first winter season, a ski slope about a kilometer long, a chairlift with a capacity of 1,500 people per hour, and a children's park with a conveyor lift will be opened there.

According to Interfax, an artificial snowmaking system will ensure stable coverage of the Veduchi slopes. A new road leads to the resort, and parking is available.

Also this winter, the Peak Veduchi ski instructor school, with a staff of approximately 25 people, and a ski equipment rental shop will open.

The Veduchi resort is located 70 kilometers from Grozny airport.
