Dubai introduces relaxations for transit passengers

Dubai authorities have allowed transit passengers to leave the airport without a visa, provided their connection time exceeds four hours, RIA Novosti reports, citing Arabian Business.

Special tours will be organized for passengers wishing to explore the city. The Dubai Airports Corporation said the project, titled "Dubai in Microcosm," aims to introduce travelers to the city's landmarks and achievements.

For passengers with a connecting flight of less than four hours, interactive exhibitions and virtual tours of the city will be available in the airport building.

Dubai International Airport is the world's busiest airport by international passenger numbers. Its capacity is planned to increase from 90 to 118 million passengers per year by 2023.
