
On August 10th and 11th, the spectacular "Night of Light" festival will take place in Gatchina, near St. Petersburg. After sunset, the Gatchina Palace and Park complex will transform into a light art gallery. This year, the festival will feature dozens of lighting engineers and artists, and for the first time, it will span two nights instead of one.
The 2018 festival's theme is "Paradox." Gatchina Park is preparing to become a space for artistic performances and video mapping, hosting over 30 light installations and art objects, according to the organizers of "Night of Light in Gatchina." The festival will also feature a video art competition, "Impossible Worlds."
Every year, the "Night of Lights in Gatchina" grows in popularity among St. Petersburg residents and tourists. This year, the festival is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors.
