An emergency warning has been issued due to the threat of avalanches in the mountains of the Krasnodar Krai, according to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The agency notes that this warning has been in effect since Sunday evening and will continue until Wednesday.
"Emergency "Avalanche warning. There is a risk of avalanches in the mountains of the Krasnodar Territory above 1,500 meters," the statement said, according to RIA Novosti.
Rescue services advise all residents and tourists in the region to exercise caution and take all necessary precautions, as well as to refrain from venturing into the mountains.
