Crimea limits energy consumption due to heat

Due to the unusually hot weather in Crimea, temporary power outages have been reintroduced. Power companies have implemented these measures to prevent overloading the Crimean peninsula's grid.

According to Interfax, Crimea is setting records for electricity consumption—due to 40-degree heat, local residents and tourists are constantly using air conditioners. Temporary power outages began in the region late last week.

According to weather forecasters, intense heat will persist on the peninsula until the end of this week. Krymenergo urges residents and visitors to the region to minimize the use of electrical appliances between 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM—the peak evening electricity consumption period.
