Tatarstan is among the top three most popular domestic destinations for family vacations and travel during the New Year holidays. This was announced by the Chairman of the regional State Committee at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. Tourism Director Sergei Ivanov.
According to him, 130,000 tourists visited the republic during the New Year holidays last year. This year, Tatarstan expects to welcome even more travelers. Incidentally, hotel occupancy rates during these holidays are already at 841,000, and at peak times, at 921,000. As Sergey Ivanov noted, tourists typically book hotels and inns for three-night stays.
In addition, the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan announced that an extensive and interesting program will be organized during the New Year holidays in Tatarstan from January 1st to 7th, with approximately 130 events taking place at various venues, including visits to St. Sophia Cathedral, various museums, interactive programs for guests, festivals, and more, according to the official website of the Kazan city government.
