On February 1, the world's longest zipline opened in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (UAE). The new attraction is located on Jebel Jais Mountain and has already been entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
The 2,830-meter zipline consists of two lines, according to Russian Emirates. 200 people per day will be able to descend the mountain this way. The cost of each descent is 650 dirhams ($177), and the ride takes two to three minutes. Anyone weighing between 45 and 150 kilograms is allowed to participate.
The previous record for length was 2,200 meters, held by the zip line in Toro Verde Park in Puerto Rico.
