On September 14, Rostov-on-Don celebrates its 270th anniversary. The city's birthday will be celebrated with theatrical celebrations, arts festivals, sporting competitions, and beauty pageants at numerous venues. In total, more than five hundred events are planned for the period from September 12 to 15 in the central squares and streets of Rostov-on-Don, on the embankment, in parks, at the zoo, in creative centers, in theaters, and at other venues.
According to the festival's organizers, an international jazz festival will be held in Rostov-on-Don from September 13th to 15th, featuring performers from various countries. The city is home to representatives of over 100 ethnic groups. The "Multinational Don" festival will be held on the city embankment near the River Station building, where representatives of various diasporas will showcase their national costumes, songs, and dances.
On September 14, a gala concert featuring performances by Russian pop stars will begin at Theater Square. Rostov-on-Don's 270th anniversary celebrations will culminate in a massive fireworks display. The fireworks installations will provide over 500 shots. The celebration will conclude with a disco featuring DJ Groove.
