From June 21st to 27th, the colorful "Imperial Gardens of Russia" festival will be held in St. Petersburg. This year, the Summer Garden will be the venue for the first time, with admission charged during the festival.
The festival's theme is "Flower Assemblies," in honor of the 300th anniversary of Peter the Great's decree and the Assemblies, Interfax reports. The Crown Fountain will be decorated with marine-themed floral arrangements during the festival, the entrances to the Berso will be adorned with garlands of roses, and eight geometric flower arrangements will be installed on the checkerboard surface of the fountain on Tsaritsyna Square. Six paintings in the style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, featuring fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and herbs, will be on display in Peter the Great's vegetable garden.
Entrance tickets to the festival (and to the Summer Garden) will cost 500 rubles for adults and 200 rubles for children, students, and pensioners.
After the festival, admission to the Summer Garden will again be free for everyone.
