Vietnam Airlines Receives Two Prestigious Awards

Vietnam Airlines' efforts to provide customers with the best service have been recognized globally with two prestigious awards: "Leading Airline for Preserving Cultural Traditions" and "Leading Airline for the Best Premium Economy Class", which were presented at the final gala ceremony of the World Travel Awards 2017. The awards were received by Mr. Le Hong Ha, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines.

Mr. Graham Cook, Founder and President of the World Travel Awards, said: “A well-deserved congratulations to Vietnam Airlines on their success at the 24th annual World Travel Awards. ‘Leading Airline for Cultural Preservation’ and ‘Leading Airline for Premium Economy Class’ are two prestigious international awards that place Vietnam Airlines at the forefront of the travel industry. I hope this recognition from both their peers and the public will inspire the airline to continually strive for excellence.”

Mr. Le Hong Ha, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said: “We are extremely proud to have received these two prestigious awards simultaneously. Last year, we also received the awards of ‘Asia’s Leading Airline for Best Economy Class’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Airline for Cultural Preservation’. Therefore, this year’s awards are certainly a giant leap forward and a testament to our commitment to promoting Vietnamese culture on the world’s most modern aircraft, including the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and the Airbus A350 XWB-900. I would like to thank all our customers for their trust in us and our employees for their continuous efforts to achieve the highest level of service quality.”

This year, Vietnam Airlines also ranked 14th among the top 20 airlines in the "World's Best Premium Economy Cabin" category by Skytrax. Vietnam Airlines' Premium Economy Class, available on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A350 aircraft on routes between Vietnam and the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Japan, offers increased legroom and near-flat seats for a more comfortable flight. Priority ground handling for Premium Economy passengers saves time during seat selection, check-in, baggage handling, and boarding. Starting in 2018, Fast Track for Premium Economy passengers, including priority security and passport control, will be available at several domestic and international airports.

Vietnam Airlines' 4-star service embodies elements of traditional Vietnamese culture. Pho soup, the traditional Ao Dai clothing worn by the crew, and the Golden Lotus logo allow passengers to easily recognize the most famous symbols of Vietnam in the airline's products and services, both in-flight and on the ground.
