On May 22, a ferry will once again connect the coasts of Montenegro and Italy, according to Travel.ru. The Montenegrin company Barska Plovidba has signed a contract with the Croatian ferry operator Jadrolinija, which will provide the vessel Dubrovnik for service on the Bar-Bari route.
The ferry will operate once a week until the end of June, twice a week from July 4 to August 15, and then once a week until November 30. The Dubrovnik ferry can accommodate 1,100 passengers and several dozen cars.
The Bar-Bari ferry line is popular with tourists who can cross the Adriatic Sea overnight and transport their car for an extended trip to Italy. Tickets start at €55 per passenger one-way (excluding car transportation). Russian tourists require a Schengen visa to travel to Italy from visa-free Montenegro.
