From April 27 to May 8, 2018, maintenance work will be carried out on the runway and one of the taxiways at Phuket Airport, reports Phuket News.

Previous runway repairs took place at Phuket International Airport in February. The work was also carried out overnight, leading to the rescheduling of several flights until the morning, resulting in long queues at the airport in the morning. Some of the nighttime flights that Phuket Airport was unable to accommodate were diverted to Krabi.
