A series of strikes across various sectors, including transportation, are expected in Belgium on Wednesday, February 13. This will lead to major disruptions to airports and ground transportation, reports Travel.ru.
Air traffic controllers are expected to be able to handle only half the usual number of flights. Brussels Airlines, the national carrier, has cancelled all flights departing from and arriving in Brussels on February 13. Foreign carriers are largely refraining from cancellations for now—Aeroflot, for example, is currently maintaining all three of its Brussels flights on February 13.
Disruptions to train and public transport are also expected. However, international train service will be largely unaffected.
