On November 1, the best IT projects in the travel business were announced at the Best Travel IT Solutions awards. According to the jury, the mobile application "Railway tickets" from UFS.Travel became the winner in the category Best app for travel.
In October, the online travel service UFS.Travel has added a function for placing orders for corporate trips to the Railway Tickets application. The updated application is designed specifically for small and medium-sized companies that particularly value simple document flow, minimal travel expenses, speed and convenience of purchase.
To issue a ticket through the application, employees do not need special skills and much time. In "Railway tickets" the current train schedule, routes, ticket prices and availability of seats are presented. A convenient seat can be selected on clickable schemes of carriages.
The presentation of the projects participating in the award took place on October 26. The jury of the Best Travel IT Solutions award particularly noted the relevance of the mobile application from UFS.Travel and its compliance with key trends in the field of Business Travel, including Uberization and the transition from complex offline booking systems to independent ones. Among other advantages, according to the jury, are convenient functionality and interface, including full content in 24/7 mode, and the storage of passenger personal data.
The mobile application "Railway Tickets" has already been appreciated by more than 1.5 million users. They note the convenience of choosing and buying tickets. Passenger and bank card data, if desired by the client, are saved in the system and filled in with one click. This significantly reduces the time for issuing a train ticket.
The winners of the Best Travel IT Solutions award were announced and awarded at the exhibition conference of modern technologies in the travel business Travel Winter IT WorkShop. This is an annual event dedicated to innovative technologies in the travel business. Every year, more than 40 companies take part in it: tour operators, online booking systems, payment systems and many others.
