More than 40 new hotels will be opened in Moscow by the end of 2018. This was announced to journalists on Wednesday, August 9, by Konstantin Timofeev, Chairman of the Moscow City Committee for the Implementation of Investment Projects in Shared Construction and Control in Construction.
In an interview with Vechernyaya Moskva journalists, K. Timofeev noted that according to the plan, by the end of 2017 Eleven new accommodation facilities are to be built. Another four, with a total of 840 rooms, are already open.
According to K. Timofeev, a real record for new hotel openings is expected in 2018, when 27 more hotels will open in Moscow. Many of them will be in time to accommodate guests of the FIFA World Cup, which will take place from June 14 to July 15.
Today, Moscow has over 1,000 accommodation facilities with approximately 63,000 rooms. All of the capital's hotels underwent mandatory classification in advance of the World Cup.
