The idea for the "Eyes Closed" party was born in Sevastopol, and today this successful technology—a cultural "franchise"—is already being implemented in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod.

Over the course of an hour, a group of people, ideally strangers, get to know each other in a rather unusual way—with their eyes closed. Participants are asked to talk about themselves and their dreams, and then complete individual, group, or collective tasks. For example, they might zip around while holding a neighbor by the shoulders, identify children's toys by touch, or identify foods by smell. In this state, people begin to sense the aromas of foods more acutely or more accurately identify the characteristics of objects by touch. This format can be an excellent team-building activity for a trip around Sevastopol with friends, family, or a group.

Each of the historical sites presented is worthy of a visit and detailed study. Let's take a closer look at one of them.

Mikhailovskaya Battery — once one of five forts designed to defend the city of Sevastopol. The battery was built in 1845 according to the designs of engineer Colonel Burno. Currently, the battery is a museum consisting of 19 halls representing various military periods of the hero city. However, the largest number of exhibits here are from the Crimean War of 1853–1856: from everyday military items to uniforms and flags of various military units from several countries. Today, it is the largest collection in the world dedicated to this topic.

The uniforms of the Zouaves—elite light infantry units of the French colonial troops, for whom the Crimean War was the first international conflict in which they were able to demonstrate their military skills—are truly remarkable. It's worth noting that the museum's exhibits are arranged chronologically, and its façade is still "decorated" with the marks left by large-scale weapons.

By the way, to improve your historical knowledge, it is recommended to visit museums with guides.

2. Coffee with pine nuts (served in many establishments, including street coffee machines);

3. Tasting of wines from the Inkerman factory.

Winemaking — the process is very long and extremely complex, but today more and more agricultural firms are moving toward interesting and creative formats that allow them to develop healthy taste habits in enogastronomy.

The Zolotaya Balka agrofirm offers gourmet dinners with tastings and wine pairings. A dinner menu might include: duck breast with persimmon and a dry rosé, beef tagliata with shiitake mushrooms and a dry red wine, mullet with Pardina lentils and a dry white wine, and fig pie with a cup of tea.

Experienced winemakers, experts, and ambassadors spend considerable time creating a unique menu where each product fits within the overall culinary palette. At the same time, Sevastopol's wineries are experiencing a new development, designed to prove that domestic wines are no worse than imported ones, and that Sevastopol's dry and sweet wines are a mark of quality.

6. Artillery Bay;

7. Cape Kurona.

Sevastopol's natural beauty is divine: steep cliffs with a "tiger-like" coloring, waltzing waves with gradients ranging from indigo to aquamarine to vibrant turquoise. Climbing Cape KuronaStanding at the precipice, a tourist senses the incredible power of this place: one wants to leap down and defy all laws of gravity or soar into the sky, breaking those same principles. But staying at the very top for long is simply impossible, as the cape's energy overwhelms one in a split second. Here, Balaklava Bay appears in all its glory. White ships delicately cut the water's surface. Sevastopol residents—couples in love—occupy benches next to the snow-white parapet. Cats of all colors and patterns, also full-fledged residents of the city, await the fishermen's catch. The smoke from the grill and the aroma of roasting meat evoke summer, even though it's November, 20 degrees Celsius.

It's important to note that Sevastopol has always been considered a place where reactionary tourism is based primarily on the healing properties of its climate. Breathing the sea air is therapeutic in itself, at any time of year, for all types of vacationers.

Sevastopol, a pilgrimage destination. Time to create!

1. St. Nicholas Church;

2. St. George's Monastery;

3. St. Clement's Monastery.

Each of the local monasteries and churches is considered a religious site, where history is closely intertwined with the miraculous power of the site, and the architecture is worthy of detailed study. For example, the St. Nicholas Church, located within the Fraternal Cemetery of the Defenders of Sevastopol. This church is striking in its architectural design—a 27-meter pyramidal structure crowned with a 16-ton cross. This shape was chosen for a reason, as a pyramid is a symbol of eternity and peace. It is worth noting that medals were placed under the foundation blocks of the church: "For the Defense of Sevastopol" and "In Memory of the War of 1853-1856." Over the years, this church was visited by members of the imperial dynasty: Alexander II and Nicholas II with their families. During the Great Patriotic War, the church was virtually undamaged. According to eyewitnesses, the multi-ton cross gently rolled down the pyramidal structure during an air strike. Currently, the Holy Nicholas Church has a new cross, and the old one is located opposite the central entrance.

In summary, the author thanks the city's Main Department of Culture for the opportunity to experience Sevastopol's 15-degree November, delve into the history of this glorious hero city, and sample its flavors. Special thanks go to Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov.
