An unusual house built from one and a half tons of real chocolate is ready to welcome tourists. Located near Paris, it is the only such structure in the world, according to Lonely Planet.
Just 30 minutes from the French capital in the city of Sèvres An 18-square-meter chocolate cottage has opened. It's the first and only house in the world constructed entirely of solidified cocoa, from the walls and roof to the wardrobe, clock, books, and mugs. Accommodation in this unusual house is now available for booking through popular booking services.
The sweet home was built by French chocolate sculptor Jean-Luc Decluzeau. 1.5 tons of the sweet material were used in its construction. Adjacent to the cottage is a white chocolate lake and a chocolate flowerbed. In addition to accommodation, guests are offered master classes from the sculptor on creating miniature delicious houses.
Jean-Luc Decluzeau said he is thrilled to share his passion for chocolate and hopes travelers will enjoy their stay in this unique place.
Stays at the Chocolate House, located in the Orangerie Ephémère palace in Sèvres, are only available for certain dates: September 26 and October 5 and 6. Guests are advised not to damage the house or taste it. Instead, they will be offered a variety of chocolate snacks. A stay in the sweet cottage costs €50 per night.
