Italian sales dates announced

Traditional summer sales in Italy begin on July 7. They will last until the end of August, and in some regions until mid-September, according to the Grottaglieinrete website.

Despite the growing growth of online shopping, summer sales in Italy continue to attract Numerous tourists. Foreigners are most attracted by significant discounts of up to 50% on clothing, footwear, and accessories. A calendar of sales by region has already been published. Shops in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Molise, Sardinia, and Umbria will be offering seasonal discounts from July 7 to September 2.

In Marche, Piedmont, and Tuscany, sales will last until September 1st. In Lazio, including Rome, and Liguria, items will be available at significant discounts until August 18th; in Sicily, until September 16th; and in Abruzzo, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Veneto, until the end of August.

Italian experts also offered some tips on how to shop during sales. They recommend:

  • Always keep your receipt in case of return,
  • visit stores before the sale to evaluate the benefits of the sale offer,
  • decide in advance what needs to be bought,
  • Be wary of discounts over 50%, as the product may be defective.
  • visit reliable and well-known stores,
  • Do not buy goods without a price tag. 

And remember that in stores that accept bank cards, the seller is obliged to accept payment without additional commissions and markups.
