Many tourists combine a vacation in Italy with bargain shopping, arriving during the seasonal sales period. Summer sales in Italy this year will begin on July 7th throughout the country, with the exception of some cities in Trentino-Alto Adige, where discounts will begin in August.
According to Italia po Russki, sales will run from July 7 to August 12 in most towns and cities in Trentino-Alto Adige. In Liguria, the discount period will run from July 7 to August 14, and in Lazio (Rome) and Apulia, until August 15.
In Piedmont, discounted items await shoppers from July 7 to August 25. In Abruzzo, sales will run from July 7 to August 29. In several regions—Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Molise, Sardinia, Tuscany, and Umbria—the discount period will end on August 30. In Veneto, summer sales will run until August 31. In Calabria, Marche, and Valle d'Aosta, they will end on September 1, and in Basilicata on September 2. The discount period will last the longest in Sicily, from July 7 to September 15.
The sales will affect all shopping centers and stores in Italy selling clothing, jewelry, perfumes, shoes, household appliances, and other goods. As a reminder, at the beginning of the sale, discounts are smaller, but the selection is much larger. By the end of the sale, items can be purchased for 70% less, but there will be less unsold inventory.
