
A medieval fair featuring knights, musicians, and jesters will take place in Stockholm this weekend. Festival guests will be treated toAlya will offer dishes prepared using recipes from past centuries, according to the event's official website.
The traditional medieval fair in the Swedish capital will take place on April 14–15 in the city's central park, Kungsträdgården. Visitors will be treated to artisan workshops, where owners will demonstrate their skills in crafting leather, fabric, bone, and glass items on-site. Locals and tourists alike will be able to see how master blacksmiths and gunsmiths worked in the past. Jewelry crafted in a Viking Age style will be on sale at the fair.
The fair's organizers promise a variety of unusual medieval entertainment, including horseback riding, archery, fencing, and folk music performances.
Visitors will also be able to sample dishes recreated from historical recipes, medieval sweets, honey, and the ever-popular roasted almonds.
The Stockholm Medieval Market will be open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on April 14th, and from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on April 15th. Direct flights from Moscow to the Swedish capital are available. Tickets for the festival dates start at 15,144 rubles.
