Kazan's three millionth tourist will be taken to the Chak-Chak Museum and treated to horsemeat tutyrma, the city mayor's press service reported.
The capital of Tatarstan is expecting its three millionth tourist of 2018 in early November. In anticipation of this event, more than 5,000 Kazan residents took part in the voting and helped to put together an entertainment program for the anniversary guest.
In addition to the honorary title, the lucky winner will receive free hotel accommodation and a comprehensive excursion program. Specifically, the three-millionth guest will visit the City Panorama Museum, which features multimedia exhibits telling the story of the history and modernity of the Tatar capital. They will then visit the Museum of the traditional sweet dish, chak-chak, before visiting the Kremlin Embankment and the G. Kamal Theater.
Kazan residents also prepared a menu for the distinguished guest, featuring exclusively national dishes. Among them were: Tatar tutyrma, a homemade horse meat sausage, kullama, a village-style meat soup, Tatar azu, vak-balish, a small meat and potato pie, gubadiya, a sweet pie, and katyk, a fermented milk drink.
The three-millionth tourist will be determined during the November holidays using a random number generator. Anyone planning a trip to Kazan in early November and submitting a request on the website 3million-tourist-kzn.ru can apply for the title. If the winner of this promotion arrives with their family, all gifts will be extended to them as well.
