
In honor of the traditional Chuseok holiday, South Korea will offer free admission to four royal palaces and the National Museum from September 22 to 26, according to the Korea Tourism Organization.
The Chuseok Harvest and Family Festival will be celebrated in the Republic From September 22 to 26. These days are declared public holidays. However, the royal palaces of Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, and Deoksugung, located in Seoul, will be open free of charge on these days.
Free admission will also be available during the celebrations at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul and several other sites, including the Jongmyo Royal Tomb and Seonjeongneung Royal Tomb Park. Tourists should also note that advance reservations for the Jongmyo Royal Tomb tour will be temporarily suspended during the Chuseok holiday.
It's traditional to visit parents on Chuseok. Therefore, highways in Korea will be congested the day before, and it will be difficult to find train and domestic flight tickets.
Direct flights from Moscow to Seoul at the end of September start at 42,953 rubles roundtrip. Flights are operated by Korean Air and Aeroflot. Flights with connecting flights are cheaper, starting at 36,614 rubles.
