From March 28 to 31, 2018, the 21st international tourism exhibition "BaikalTour" will be held at the Irkutsk exhibition complex "SibexpoCenter".
The event traditionally showcases the Baikal region as a promising area for the development of tourism, sports and recreation, presents the potential of tourism opportunities in the regions of Siberia and the Far East, and also promotes the development of cooperation with the tourism industry of countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The exhibition will be housed in two pavilions at the Sibexpocentre. In the first pavilion, visitors will be able to view the main exhibit, featuring tourism and health resorts from Korea, Mongolia, China, Turkey, St. Petersburg, the Irkutsk Region, and the Krasnoyarsk, Altai, and Primorsky Krais. Russian Railways and the Angarsk Petrochemical Plant will also be showcasing their sanatoriums and recreation centers.
The second pavilion of the Sibexpocentre will feature a tea exhibition dedicated to tourism along the Great Tea Road. Visitors will be able to discover tea traditions from around the world, sample unique tea varieties, and purchase accessories and sweets. The exhibition will also feature several major events, including the "Around the World 10 Muses" Gastronomic Tourism Festival. Guests will enjoy presentations of national dishes and tastings from renowned Irkutsk restaurants.
Another highlight of the exhibition will be the National Dance Festival, during which its participants—national cultural centers—will demonstrate the unique flavor of their region through dance and national costume.
A comprehensive business program is planned for guests and participants of the Baikaltour exhibition, including roundtable discussions, training seminars for tourism industry representatives, presentations from participating companies, and working meetings devoted to current industry topics.
